Hradec králové

The city is situated at the confluence of the Rivers Elbe and Orlice in north-eastern Bohemia. The original name of one of the oldest settlements in the Czech Republic was Hradec (the Castle) Králové (of the queen) was affixed when it became one of the dowry towns of Elisabeth Richeza of Poland.

Hradec Králové is a university city since there are six faculties of three higher education institutes. There were a lot of great people born.  One of  famous known in Czech Republic is Josef Čapek. Amazing painter, writer and poet. And also brother of world wide known writer Karel Čapek.

Another great information about Hradec Kralove is that there is faculty hospital which is the biggest medical facility in Czech republic and there were a lot of amazing discoveries. One of the latest (december 2014) is new cure against Alzheimer.
