Neratovice

Neratovice  is a town in the Mělník district in Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The first written report about Neratovice comes from r. 1227. At that time Neradice been registered as a vassal village Chapter of St. Wenceslas at Prague Castle.

According to archaeological findings, the territory of today’s city was relatively densely inhabited since prehistory times.Dense forests of the river Elbe have been luring populations first hunters and gatherers. Near Lobkovic was even found by scientists Long house, typical buildings of Neolithic farmers.

Neratovice is at an altitude of about 170 m and occupies its area of approximately 2002 hectares including administrative territory Byškovice, Lobkovice, Mlékojedy, Korycany and Horňátky.
