Přerov is a town in the Olomouc Region where the Bečva river flows through.  In the past it was a major crossroads in the heart of Moravia in the Czech Republic. This locality was already settled in the prehistoric age which is witnessed by the world-known archaeological site at Přerov-Předmostí.

There was discovered extensive archaeological sites and the oldest contains valuable findings from the times of mammoth hunters. Thanks to this there was created hiking trail of mammoth hunters.

Přerov is also enrolled in the history of world hockey. In January 2012 along with Zlin hosted the Womens World Championship under 18 years, has exceeded all attendance records in the meantime.
