Valašské Meziříčí

Valašské Meziříčí is a town in the Zlín Region. The city lies at the confluence of Rožnovská and Vsetínská Bečva. Its location is the gateway to the mountains of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy.

The first mention of Meziříčí dates from 1297. In the neighborhood was established village  Krásno , in 1491, became a town. In 1924 he joined the Wallachian Meziříčí. The name cames from the words „mezi-rici“ (between-rivers).
