Vyškov  is a town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The first written record of Vyškov comes from a deed of the Olomouc bishop Jindřich Zdik, dated 1141, which shows that Vyškov was clearly a manorial property. In the 13th century the original agricultural settlement became a small market town and a fully-fledged town a century later.

Nowadays, besides an insight into history, Vyškov offers its visitors a number of other attractive ways of pleasantly passing the time. Those interested in old military equipment can visit the exhibition held by the Historical Air Society Trust. The oldest exhibits are parts of planes that crashed in the Second World War. Since 1965 there has been a zoo park open in the centre of Vyškov, which breeds and looks after domestic and farm animals from alll around the world.
